For anyone paying attention, urban ministry is a hot topic in TSA. Since the beginning of the movement, urban life has been the focus of the ministry. What does that mean today? How might that look tomorrow? Where is the territory headed?

I have such a problem with "trendiness " of " urban" ministry. I feel like the concentration on serving effectively in the city has become important since the structure of what the city looks like has changed. I feel that when the trend moves to something else then the focus of this part of The Salvation army may move to the next trend.The invisible part of the city that holds the invisible people have been missed in the past, this is my experience. When the shine gets dull and the name is no longer mainstreamed , when the neighborhood returns to the originals and the gentrification has worn out, what will happen to the ministry.
